Europe's Authoritative Emissions Monitoring Event

The International Conference and Exhibition on Emissions Monitoring has been the essential gathering point for the global CEMS community since its first edition in the UK in 1997. Over 27 years CEM has convened in the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Turkey, Portugal, Hungary, Spain, and Slovenia.

The 17th CEM — Dublin, Ireland, 21–23 September 2027 — will bring together instrument manufacturers, regulatory authorities, environmental managers, and process operators for three days of peer-reviewed technical sessions and a focused exhibition of the latest monitoring technology. CEM 2025 in Ljubljana was the largest edition to date, attracting 650+ delegates from more than 70 countries.

The cem audience

Visitors and delegates to CEM Europe come from a range of industries around the world that share a common goal: the need to monitor emissions and air quality from their plants or processes. CEM Europe brings together the full spectrum of the emissions monitoring community — from plant operators and environmental engineers to regulatory authorities and independent testing laboratories — creating an unrivalled environment for peer-to-peer learning, benchmarking and problem-solving.

Delegates benefit from direct access to industry influencers, expert speakers and leading CEM equipment and service suppliers all in one place, meaning they leave with the best available advice on regulation, equipment, new products and emerging technologies shaping the market today and into the future.

The breadth and seniority of the visitor audience makes CEM Europe the most commercially relevant gathering in the emissions monitoring calendar. Attendees include procurement decision-makers, technical managers and directors from some of Europe’s largest industrial operators, as well as the government agencies and national laboratories that define the regulatory landscape. Whether the conversation is about imminent IED compliance, the transition to continuous monitoring or the adoption of next-generation sensor technologies, the people setting the agenda are in the room.
